Dr Liz Edwards has worked as a paediatric respiratory and sleep specialist at Starship Children’s Health since 2003. Prior to this she undertook training fellowships at The Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children and The Royal Brompton Hospital in London. She originally graduated from Leeds Medical School, England and came to New Zealand in 1993. She underwent general paediatric training in Hamilton and Christchurch and moved to Auckland in 1997 to undertake advanced training in paediatric respiratory medicine. She currently chairs the New Zealand Paediatric Sleep Medicine Clinical Network Group.

NZ Paediatric Sleep Medicine Clinical Network
The New Zealand Paediatric Sleep Medicine Clinical Network Group (CNG) aims to provide clinical leadership in the development and maintenance of the national clinical services for children and young people aiming to meet basic international benchmark standards. An overview of specific activities of the CNG will be presented including the current state of paediatric sleep medicine facilities, access to paediatric sleep studies and implications for the surgical management of paediatric sleep disordered breathing.
